By nature, tooth surfaces are not smooth but structured with fine cusps and fissures. In deep, narrow fissures, the bristles of a toothbrush often can't reach the bottom - food residue remains, and tooth decay can develop.

With fissure sealing, we first clean the fissure and then seal it with a special sealing material. This creates a chewing surface that can be reliably cleaned with a toothbrush - particularly recommended right after the permanent molars erupt in children and adolescents.
